What do I set when I list something for sale?

When you set a piece's status to For sale (or For trade), a short listing form appears. Here's what each field does:

  • Asking price — your price (US dollars for now). For trade listings you can leave this off and describe what you want.
  • Listing description — free text for condition notes, what's included, flaws, and so on. Formatting/HTML is stripped to keep listings clean and safe.
  • Shipping policy — how you'll get it to the buyer; see What do the shipping options mean?
  • Accepts offers — turn this on if you're open to negotiation rather than firm price only.

Two things to know

  • Listing an item makes it (and your profile) public so buyers can find it.
  • There's no checkout on the platform — buyers contact you and you arrange payment and shipping off-platform.
