What does "Sale Pending" mean?
Sale Pending is a soft hold for when you've agreed a deal but it isn't finished — you're waiting on payment, shipping arrangements, or a meet-up. Open the listed piece (or set) and use Mark Sale Pending.
What it does
- The listing stays live and visible in the marketplace — it does not close or get removed from browse the way Sold does.
- The chat thread stays open, so buyers can still message you with questions or get in line in case the current deal falls through.
- The Make Offer button is greyed out — new offers are paused while you finish up — and a Sale Pending badge appears so everyone knows where it stands.
Clearing it
Hit Cancel Sale Pending and the listing is fully open again, offers included. It also clears automatically if you Mark Sold or change the item's status, so a stale "pending" tag never lingers.
Sale Pending vs. Sold
- Sale Pending — deal agreed, not finished. Listing stays open; offers paused.
- Sold — deal complete. Listing closes, leaves browse, and a sale record is created. See How do I mark something as sold?
