What are saved import templates?

When you import a CSV, you choose which columns to include and what order they're in. A saved import template remembers that setup so you don't have to rebuild it every time.

Why use one

• Match your own spreadsheet. Pick just the columns you actually track and arrange them in the order your file uses.
• Reuse it. The next time you import that category, load the template and your columns are ready to go.
• One layout per category. Templates are tied to a category (Locomotives, Rolling Stock, Accessories, or Sets), so each type can have its own layout.

Managing templates

• Save a template from the import screen once you've chosen your columns.
• Edit a saved template later with the pencil icon on its card, then update it.
• Download a matching blank CSV for any template so the file you fill in lines up with the columns you saved — no guessing at headers.
