The model I own isn't in the catalog. What do I do?

No problem — the catalog grows as members add to it.

First, search carefully

Try the manufacturer + SKU (the catalog number on the box) rather than the product name, and check for alternate manufacturer spellings (for example "MTH" vs "Mike's Train House" — we map a lot of these together). The item may already be there under a name you didn't expect.

If it's really not there

Use Quick Add from your collection page and enter the manufacturer and SKU — if no match exists, you'll be guided to create the catalog entry, and then your piece is added on top of it. New manufacturers you enter are reviewed before they become a permanent picklist option.

Because the catalog is shared, adding good data helps the whole community — the next person who owns the same model gets it for free.
