How do I export my collection?
You can download your collection at any time from Rail ▸ Collection ▸ Exports
(the Exports link, /Exports). It's useful for backups, insurance, or
crunching numbers in your own spreadsheet.
Two kinds of export
- Collection Value — a valuation-focused export of what you own and what it's worth. Good for tracking your collection's value or sharing a summary.
- Insurance Inventory — a fuller record built for insurance and record-keeping, so you have documentation of what you own if you ever need to make a claim.
Three formats each
- CSV — opens in any spreadsheet; best for your own analysis or re-importing elsewhere.
- Excel — a formatted
.xlsxworkbook, ready to read. - JSON — structured data for developers or other tools.
Pick the export and the format, and the file downloads to your device. Nothing about your collection changes — an export is a read-only snapshot.
